stableCalc: A porous flow calculator for stable element concentrations
This is a tool for calculating stable element concentrations in partial melts and coexisting solids using disequilibrium porous flow, using the pyUserCalc methods of Elkins & Spiegelman (2021) applied to stable trace elements. This notebook determines elemental concentrations with depth in one dimension in a steady-state decompressing system, for variable melting rates and partition coefficients. The code can be used in conjunction with the pyUserCalc tool for calculating uranium-series disequilibria in similar systems. This tool was developed for research published in Elkins & Lambart (2024); both Elkins & Spiegelman (2021) and Elkins & Lambart (2024) should be cited when it is used in publishable/shared research.
